The Good Shepherd in Primary 1
As part of our Grow in Love lessons we have been learning about The Good Shepherd. What better way to learn about the work of a Shepherd than by interviewing one and getting to meet a little lamb. Jumpy the lamb made the trip into school in Mrs. Gribben’s car saying goodbye to her children not knowing the adventure he would have in St. Colman’s Annaclone. The children in nursery looked after Jumpy in the morning before coming to Primary 1 in the afternoon. Miss. Hoey had questions for our shepherd Miss. Brannigan. She told us the things she needs to do to be a good shepherd to her sheep and lambs. We all got the chance to feed the lamb and pet it with most of the children willing to give it a go. Everyone enjoyed our visit from the little lamb. He is now back at home on the farm. This week, we will continue to explore this theme looking at Jesus as the Good Shepherd.
