Tag Rugby in St. Colman's Primary School
What is Tag Rugby?
Tag rugby is a non-contact team game in which each player wears a belt that has two velcro tags. The game is based on rugby football with many similarities to touch rugby. Attacking players attempt to dodge, evade and pass a rugby ball while defenders attempt to prevent them scoring by "tagging" – pulling a velcro attached tag from the ball carrier, rather than a full contact tackle. It is a game for all ages, all sizes and both male and female. A great way to keep healthy and have fun whilst doing it.
Our friends in Fairhill PS play a lot more rugby than we do - but with this after schools club now up and running...maybe that will change. The girls and boys all loved it today. There remain a few spaces, so why not give it a go?
