Primary 7 African Culture Challenge
Primary 7 were asked to research an African Country and to make a short tourist video about the country. They have had lots of fun doing so. The children had to have a think about places they could visit, places they could stay and places they could eat. They decided to make their videos as informative, bright, cheery and colourful as they could. One big communication 'ask' was that they had to include some persuasive vocabulary. See how they got on below!
This work really was pioneering as it was the first homework/assignment that we have set in the school via the Google Classrooms platform. Google Classroom is a free web service, developed by Google for schools, that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a paperless way. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students.
How can Google Classroom help?
- Encourage collaboration between students.
- Seamlessly use other Google tools, such as Google Docs.
- Provide timely feedback to keep students engaged in the learning process.
- Organise assignments and create a paperless classroom.
Well done to everyone who has contributed. We have a healthy mixture of African country projects and tourism videos to upload and share with you all.
