Primary 4 visit the RNLI in Newcastle
The Primary 4 boys and girls enjoyed their visit to the Newcastle RNLI. We met Tara's uncle John Anderson who is a volunteer in the RNLI. John was delighted to show his niece and all the class the All Weather boat and the Inshore boat. Shane, John and Therese demonstrated how a person was put on a stretcher and the children saw the First Aid bag. The children watched a DVD of some of their rescue work at sea.
Following our visit to the RNLI, we had a picnic in the park and off course we could n't leave Newcastle without getting 'an ice-cream'!!
