Nursery had a super sports day. Stephen from mini-athletics came and took us for fun athletic based activities which emphasise teamwork, competition and social interaction.
The children had a blast. We went through the Jungle pretending to be giraffes, elephants and monkeys to name but a few. The children showed great listening skills changing between each animal and we observed some excellent balancing on one leg like a flamingo and walking tall like a giraffe. We played a throwing game where we had to feed the Hippo and ended the session with some running, hopping and crawling races. There were smiles all around.
After the session we had some water and oranges for refreshments for all our busy athletes before our award ceremony. Each child was presented with a medal and certificate for participation. After lunch we all enjoyed a nice cold ice-lolly for all our efforts.
Well done boys and girls you were all fabulous.
