Before Primary 1 begin to learn their letter sounds, we need to listen to sounds in our environment. We enjoyed taking part in a listening walk around the school. We heard lots of different sounds such as the birds singing and the tractors driving up the road. At the end of the week Mrs. Gribben played some sounds from her house. We had to guess what the sound was. Everyone made some great guesses of all the sounds. Her little boy kicking a ball was the hardest one and she needed to give us some clues. We are almost ready to start our phonics journey!
