Primary 1 have been learning all about Bears. We started the topic discussing bears in stories and we read the classic Goldilocks and The Three Bears. The children produced artwork, role played parts from the story and sequenced the story in their literacy lessons. We have enjoyed listening to the story on our listening station and following along with our story books. To finish this part of our topic we enjoyed the three bears breakfast. We discussed what fruit we would like on our porridge and wrote a shopping list with Mrs. Gribben of all the ingredients we needed. We washed and chopped our own fruits and some even chose a dribble of honey. Thank you to Kate who brought in some locally made honey. We know that bears like honey but so do most of Primary 1. It was great to see so many children enjoying their porridge with many wanting seconds. A lovely morning in Primary 1. Thank you to Miss. Brannigan and Mrs. Carey who made sure the porridge was “just right.”
