Yesterday we picked up a wonderful award and plaque from IQM https://iqmaward.com/ The award recognises St. Colman's Primary School and All Saints' Nursery Unit as a Flagship School for Inclusion. IQM agree with our summary of ourselves as an 'educationally inclusive school, where the teaching and learning; achievements, attitudes and well-being of every young person matter.'
Today we brought the trophy around the school and the nursery unit so that everyone had the opportunity to share and celebrate in their own success.
Inclusion promotes equal opportunities for all pupils, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment and background. It pays particular attention to the provision made for, and the achievement of, different groups of pupils within a school and any pupils who are at risk of disaffection and exclusion.
