Flagship Award for Inclusion
The Inclusion Quality Mark provides schools with a nationally recognised framework to guide their inclusion journey. Inclusion promotes equal opportunities for all pupils, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment and background. The award pays particular attention to the provision made for, and the achievement of, different groups of pupils within a school and any pupils who are at risk of disaffection and exclusion.
Here today at St.Colman's Primary School and All Saints' Nursery Unit we were hugely proud to announce that we have once again been awarded Flagship School status for the Inclusion Quality Mark. We are one of only 3 Primary Schools in the north to receive this accolade. Below you can view the report from our assessor (Anne Spencer a former Headteacher, OFSTED inspector and someone who is currently an educational consultant and advisor to schools in London). We’re sure you will agree it makes for great reading. Thank you all for your support in making us a truly inclusive Primary School and Nursery Unit. It is this partnership that continues to be the bedrock of our success and excellence. Well done!
