First day back
Really positive first day back in school. Lovely to see familiar faces again and hear the healthy, happy noise of classrooms working together again! This nurture week allows for a soft-landing for everyone (children, staff and parents). Routines can be followed, new norms worked through, understood, tweaked and then established. Thank you for the lovely emails and messages that flowed into the school today. It’s truly great to be back open! π
Similar arrival routines for our children again tomorrow - with the added addition of our first new Primary One children.
P6 & P7 walk along the pedestrian pavement around the front mobile. P7 enter through classroom and P6 carry on their journey behind the P1 room and onwards to their classroom.
P5 walk across the zebra crossing and up the front steps.
P2, P3 & P4 walk up the hill. Well done for following the yellow, red and blue tracker lines. πβ€οΈπ π Really impressive how you listened and understood. More of the same again tomorrow!
P1 (accompanied by their parents) children can use the newly tarred front ramp. The parents curriculum meeting went down well today. β
Buses will be operational tomorrow. π
There was noticeable congestion π today at 12:00. The buses leaving a little earlier tomorrow 11:50/55 should help ease this a little. Do remember that it is only going to be for this week as from 01 Sept 2020 onwards the normal 1:30 (NU), 1:45 (P1-3) & 2:35 (P4-7) hometimes will be back in operation.
We are looking closely at the usage of water bottles in the school. We appreciate that it is August βοΈ, that disposable bottles are not eco-friendly and the cost soon mounts up. π¦ We should have news on this for you before the end of the week. We want to keep all stakeholders safe. Thank you for working with us since closure and now as we enter a new year together.
