FAQ What about lunches and food in school?
EA will still provide meals from Sept 01. However initially we will not be providing a hot dinner. It will take the form of sandwiches, rolls and wraps.
Snacks need to be provided at home, no snacks will be provided in school. We continue a healthy eating policy and so please stick to fruit. (no nuts, breadsticks, cereal bars, sweets, crisps or chocolate).
Children bringing a packed lunch from home should preferably be in paper (or plastic) bags which can be disposed of in school. Initially we ask that children bring single-use water bottles. For now we think that they are the best method of keeping children both hydrated and safe. This will be kept under review. We are proud to be an Eco-School ♻️ and want to look after our environment. We WILL at some point return to children bringing in bottles as before.
We have no updates yet on Milk provision in the school. We expect to hear if this service will be available early next week.
