Emmett Ervine represented our school today at the Eason Spelling Bee competition in St. Colmcille’s P.S. Dovwnpatrick. There were twenty - two entrants from primary schools all over Co Down. The competition was sponsored by Cool FM and at the beginning Emmett had the opportunity to introduce himself to Rebecca McKinney, Cool FM’s morning show presenter. Emmet really did our school proud and was able to spell many difficult words. Charlie and Lauren, his classmates came along to support Emmett. Emmett received a t-shirt, dictionary and a certificate for taking part.
