Primary 2 have really enjoyed exploring Christmas in the playroom. We have been measuring and pouring hot chocolate in the water tray. Guessing how many scoops it will take to fill the bowl. The role play area has been a favourite, dressing up as as Mrs. Claus and the main man, Santa. The children have been preparing Christmas dinners and desserts.
In the play dough area we have enjoyed making decorations using star, angel and other Christmas themed cutters.
Our junk art area has been turned into Santa’s workshop with the boys and girls making their own toys, wrapping them and making their own decorations to take home.
In class, the children have been exploring space in small world play. We have had great fun making space vehicles using mobilo and looking at information books to help us design them. NASA better watch out for we have some interesting ideas.
We all worked very hard in Literacy learning how to write a letter. We wrote a very important letter to Santa. Postman Colin came to collect them to post them to the North Pole. There is great excitement about our Christmas play and about what Santa will bring.
