P4 were celebrating World Down Syndrome day by wearing odd socks to symbolise individuality and uniqueness. We rocked our various styles and colours of socks. It created discussion around everyone being different and how important it is to celebrate this. We listened to the story of My Friend Isabelle and it reinforced for us how differences are what makes the world so great. We brainstormed unique things about ourselves and then compared our uniqueness to some ideas from others. We love how we all bring something very different to our classroom.
