Catholic Schools Week in Kenya
The theme for Catholic Schools Week 2021 is ‘Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith and Resilience’. Throughout the week, teachers have uploaded activities onto Seesaw/Google Classroom and we encourage all children to engage with the planned activities to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. We are currently living through an unprecedented time of challenge and now more than ever our faith and the support and care of our whole school community is helping us all through these difficult times. We continue to pray for all those key workers working on the front line and for those who are sick, isolating or lonely at this time.
In addition to this the teachers from our partner school in Mombasa, St. Charles Llwanga's Primary School, have sent through images of the construction of both the prayer garden and quiet space. Through British Council funding cluster schools (along with St. Mary's Dechomet, St. Paul's Cabra and two other Mombasa Primary Schools) are seeking to develop the grounds of our schools in order to promote well-being and reflection for our communities. We have been working on our grotto and walkway and hope to give you more news on them in the spring.
